While covid continues to test our resilience and adaptability, constantly changing our daily lives, one thing is immutable...the love between Katy & Joe! The last minute closing of borders and new restrictions, saw their 100+ wedding guests shrink to around 50, but Joe & Katy celebrated and acknowledged their love for each other and for the beautiful friends and family they share their lives with. There were tears and laughter, serenades, speeches in Italian, feeling and connection. Covid may be what everyone is talking about, but on this day, everyone was happily infected with love!
The closing of the Queensland border at 1am on 8.8.20 meant that sister Robyn had to leave after Friday's rehearsal and miss Saturday's wedding. It was raining, the sky showing the sadness that was being felt. There were tears.
Joe and Katy practice at Friday's rehearsal.
With Saturday, the sun came out, as did the hair irons, bobby pins and hair spray!
Will Katy arrive before the rain?
Father Bernie, I want to bottle you and take you to all my weddings!
I loved that their four sons walked Katy down the aisle.
Knew there would be tears!
Blessings with both the mamas.
Reception shenanigans were held at the Farm.
MC Franc kept everyone laughing and singing along with Amore!
Katy delivered her speech in Italian so mama Franka could understand...it was superb...
...and caused more tears!
Matt & Georgia were soulful.
All the love...
Wishing you more love and happiness than you know what to do with! You are beautiful souls who make the world a better place. Enjoy!
Big love Natsky.
