2013 saw the Falls Music and Arts Festival being enjoyed in Byron Bay for the first time. Technically it's about 30kms north of Byron, but only the locals would know where Yelgun is! So this is where I saw the old year out and welcomed in 2014 with open arms.

To start it off with a bang, Jimmy Willing asked me to photograph his show with the Hick-Ups and the Buffalo Girls, featuring Miss Bertie Page. It's a crazy, high energy mix up of cowboy punk meets burlesque meets Napoleon and is always a fun night. I was curious to see how the very young demographic of Falls would receive it. Those that ventured into the big top loved it and got rather animated with their own versions of the can-can and cowboy moves. Was a hoot!
