Friday in Yamba was wet and windy and far from the ideal imagined for this couple's beachside wedding. Thankfully Saturday saw the clouds clear and the wind drop, as the blue skies moved in and the sun shone down for Grant & Tanya's beautiful ceremony.
Grant and his groomsmen spent the morning creating an aisle of cairns for the ceremony at Yamba's Convent Beach.
In the meantime the girls were being primped and preened.
As the ceremony drew closer, everyone gathered on the beach...Squash and Ant were on hand to keep the groom calm!
Then the magic began as Tanya's parents walked her towards her waiting husband-to-be!
Cousin Andrea began the nuptials as happiness wound its way through the crowd...
Words of wisdom are shared, rings are exchanged, vows of love are spoken....
...and finally they are husband and wife!
Witnessing the ceremony was Tanya's nan Idris and Grant's mother Shaen.
This was one crazy-fun, can't-stop-laughing bridal party!
An awesome couple!
So many wonderful random happenings for this wedding...whales, black cockatoos, rainbows and more, including a quick ride in a fire engine!
Grant and Tanya were then delivered to the reception via boat, ably skippered by Tanya's papa Trevor.
As the sun sank below the horizon, the celebrations continued inside with much laughter, happy tears and an overwhelming sense of joy and love.
Grant & Tanya will be a happily ever after couple...I see it in the way they look at each other, the gentle touches, their openness and the ever present connection they share.
Their love for life and adventure seems to only be surpassed by their love for each other.
Congratulations beautiful people. I look forward to hearing updates of your amazing life together!
