Things I have learned from experience which you may find useful.

Consider a winter wedding. On the North Coast the weather is glorious and you will have less booking competition.

I always bring safety pins, bandaids and double sided tape...everyone else usually brings tissues.

Husbands who kiss their wives in the morning live five years longer than those who don't.

Be prepared that something will not go to plan. Choose not to let it spoil your day.

Leave your watch at home on the day...you don’t need to know how fast your day is going. Leave time keeping to others.

Make your own rules and traditions. Don’t be bullied into doing things that don’t represent the couple that you are.

Don’t forget to eat. Don’t forget to breathe. Don’t forget what’s important. Relax and enjoy.

Historically, sweat has been an active ingredient in perfume and love potions.

Rain does not mean disaster. It adds an extra dimension and can be an icebreaker for guests who don’t know each other.

I capture what is there on the day. The best thing you can do for great photos is to love and enjoy yourselves.

Sounds obvious, but don’t have the buck’s and/or hen’s night the night before.

The science of kissing is called philematology.

Mock cake cuttings rarely look real!
