This fantastic Lismore street art project continues to go from strength to strength. Over the weekend, Melbourne artist Ben Foster added his mark to the ever growing colour in our back alleys. The Back Alley Gallery has a great mix of both local, interstate and overseas artists, with a mix of techniques including spraycan, roller, stencilling and paste-up. Subject matter is as diverse as the artists' styles, with Ben's piece being inspired by lichen.
Check out a few pics from this weekend's stage or better still go for a wander through the alleys themselves...something there for everyone.
Ben contemplate the tag-covered wall and the logistics of painting in the pouring rain...
This work featured overlaid stencils...
...inspired by the natural forms of Lichen.
Wet and a little dark in the rain... Our amazing Mayor Jenny Dowell popped in of course to have a chat and tweet some pics of the event...love your work Jenny!
Colour all finished just before dark on Saturday afternoon...
...before the sun came out on Sunday morning and Ben could start on the black outline to finish.
